Compare scope before price
Research depth, recruiting, number of product flows, design system work, prototyping, usability testing, and implementation support all affect an engagement. Two estimates are comparable only when their assumptions are visible.
Ask what the estimate includes
Request a breakdown of activities, team roles, expected client time, deliverables, and revision assumptions. Clarify whether research participants, travel, accessibility review, and post-launch support are included.
Treat public ranges as a starting point
Directory pricing fields may be self-reported, dated, or based on selected reviews. Keep the source and date beside any displayed figure. If no reliable source is available, say that pricing was not found in reviewed sources.
